Wayward Rising

A Retreat for High-Achieving Women Ready for Alignment, Clarity & Momentum.

Palmaïa: The House of AïA
Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

January 20-24, 2027

About the Retreat

wayward [wey-werd]/ ˈweɪ wərd /, noun. - Someone stubborn and independent; they're determined to find their own way and are not easily controlled.

Ungovernable.

The Wayward Rising Retreat isn’t your stereotypical retreat.

This is a one-of-a-kind immersion designed for high-achieving women of all walks of life who are ready to reconnect with themselves at a deeper level - and move forward with clarity self-trust, and momentum.

Over the course of this 4-night experience, we will gather on the white sands of Palmaia: The House of AïA, surrounded by lush jungle and the turquoise ocean, in the spirit of recalibration and expansion.

This retreat is for women who have already achieved success, but are beginning to feel a quiet disconnect between what they’ve built and what they truly want next.

For many high performers, output has outweighed alignment for a long time. Decisions are made quickly, responsibility is high, and the space to pause - to really hear yourself - is rare. Over time, that creates a subtle but powerful drift.

This experience is your reset. To feel joy, freedom and momentum again.

Through intentional space, guided sessions, restorative practices, and meaningful connection, you will return to your own internal clarity - the place where your best decisions are made.

The Experience

Throughout our time together, we will engage in thoughtfully curated daily sessions designed to support both leadership growth and internal alignment.

Mornings will begin with optional grounding practices - meditation, reflection, or gentle movement - to create space before the demands of the day.

We will also offer a blending immersive workshops, group discussions, and experiential sessions focused on self-trust, decision-making, and aligned leadership.

Core experiences will include:

  • Rebuilding self-trust as a strategic advantage

  • Understanding and regulating your nervous system in high-stakes environments

  • Embodied decision-making, learning to distinguish intuition from fear

  • An “alignment audit” to identify what is no longer working

  • Exploring the concept of enough, and redefining success on your own terms

This is not about doing more. It’s about becoming more aligned so that what you do next actually works.

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." — Margaret Wheatley

Tara has spent over twenty years of working with leaders across multiple industries worldwide, and as a certified Fearless Organization practitioner she's learned that the same conditions that grow healthy organizations grow healthy human beings, too. Tara is also an international keynote speaker and has worked with organizations large and small on self-reflective practices that are tested in real life scenarios, then adapted for growth and better outcomes. She brings this work to women who are ready to stop white-knuckling their lives and remember what they came here for.

Your Retreat Facilitators

Rachel Schromen

Rachel Schromen is the founder of Schromen Law LLC, an estate planning and elder law firm known for its holistic, client-centered approach to decision-making. As an attorney and trained end-of-life doula, Rachel has built a reputation for guiding individuals through complex, high-stakes life transitions with clarity, groundedness, and compassion.

For more than a decade, she has worked closely with clients and business leaders navigating moments that require both practical strategy and deep personal alignment - death, illness, divorce, and major financial decisions. Through this work, she has developed a clear perspective: the greatest barriers to forward movement are rarely external- they are internal. A lack of clarity, self-trust, and alignment often outweighs any lack of information.

Rachel’s work sits at the intersection of leadership, decision-making, and emotional intelligence. She integrates her legal expertise with grief-informed and trauma-aware practices, helping others access their own internal clarity so they can make decisions that are not only effective, but deeply aligned.

In addition to leading a successful and growing firm, Rachel is a speaker and thought leader focused on empowering women - particularly those in periods of transition - to move from overwhelm to intentional action. Her approach challenges the idea that success alone is the goal, instead emphasizing alignment, self-trust, and sustainable momentum. This retreat is an extension of that philosophy.

Drawing from her experience building a business, mentoring a team, and supporting women through life’s most pivotal moments, Rachel creates space for high-achieving women to pause, recalibrate, and reconnect with their own decision-making authority.

Her work is not about adding more. It’s about helping women to access what is already there - and trust it.
